lump on side of head

Hi, for about 12 years I've had a lump on the side of my head which a hairdresser once said is a wart, but after all this anxiety I've been having, I'm wondering if its a brain tumour which is only starting to cause symptoms. But wouldnt it have shown up in my blood tests and all the hand clappy / finger pulling (for want of a better phrase) tests my GP has done? And would it really have sat there unnoticed for 12 years , possibly more, without any symptoms?

I dont know what lump is but would stake my life on it not being a brain tumour, pretty certain that if you have had it for all that time and it hasnt changed then its harmless, but i know me telling you that wont be enough so go get it looked at and have your mind put at rest
