I'm having another attempt at coming off meds, this time trimipramine, but its a terrible struggle. At the moment I'm feeling less anxious but the insomnia is killing me and I feel absolutely dreadful.
Its only day 3 but I dont know how much longer I can go on.

It's real tough for sure... I'm coming off mirtazapine and more recently zoloft, my insomnia is crippling. I'm on temazepam and still getting no more than 3 hours a night. I'm using st johns wort and 5 htp to trying and lessen the withdrawals - so far it's a real struggle.

I don't think there's an easy answer, just a case of rolling with it...although this is easier said than done.

I've not slept properley in over a month!

I have a bottle of 5htp but the few times I tried it I still didn't sleep and it seemed to fuel anxiety someowhat.
I have some Zopidem but they have little effect and I dont want to substitute one drug dependency for another. I have 2 weeks in Lanzarote booked for 24 March so I am hoping to last until then. I am also going to see my GP about a referral to s sleep specialist because this has been going on for about 10 months now.
