Too far away to punch:-) How about a nice big rubber band around your wrist. When you start getting anxious about your breathing, snap it REALLY HARD!!!

Even if you were to pass out, your body will keep breathing for you so I hope that helps you a little bit.:hugs:

can anyone tell me what happens to the body from overbreathing?

i overbreathe then get the following symptoms

dizzy/light headed
feeling stiff like my whole body is a statue
disorintanted
and obviously anxious
sore throat and either dry mouth or too much saliva
tiredness

This sounds spot on for overbreathing, to be honest. You're feeling stiff because your whole body is tense. You need to distract yourself with something, even if it's doing the housework or phoning someone up for a chat. I'm a long way from Barnsley (I've only ever been there once for a football match) otherwise I'd come round and thump you as well! :D

Hi Scared

I agree with Blue, also sounds as though there me be a bit of depersonalisation there too. I'm in Scotland so cant give you a right good beating I'm afraid however here you go....
