Try to eat something as soon as you get up as this will help stabilise the blood sugar levels.

It is also about how you view the day ahead. If you wake up and think "oh god not another bad day" then it will be like that. Try to wake up and think "I have an excellent day ahead and I am positive".

Try it - it may help.

united,

Do you take meds and if so are they to be taken in the am? I agree with Nicola eating will help. I also wake up with headaches but found getting a supportive pillow helped with me, still get them but they aren't quite as bad. I also find stretching in the morning helps my anxiety. Hope this helps.

I wake with my stomach churning, by the time I've had my shower, got dressed I feel very lightheaded. I've started keeping a glass of water and a banana by my bed and eat and drink the minute I get up - it seems to help.
Take Care

Hi united1985

It is usual to feel worse in the morning. As has been suggested, try to eat something as soon as you can on getting up as blood sugar drops overnight.
