How long does diazepam take to expire?

Hi all

How long does valium take to expire?

I want to get hold of some at short notice (terrible flying nerves) and already have a pack of 4 2mg tablets I've never used. These are drugs that were prescribed for me for the same problem by a doctor more or less exactly two years ago. There is no expiration date on the pack, because it has been cut up at pharmacy.

I have heard it is OK 2-3 years if kept dry and this has never been opened in a blister pack. Will I be OK to take it?

OK. Does anyone even have a packet on them with an expiry date so I can figure out how long this one would have lasted? Really need an answer on this one...

Just had a look on my strip of 5mg tablets. I picked them up from the pharmacy last week and the expiry is 11/2013

Thank you - according to a nurse on another thread the expiry period is usually about two and a half years so that would make sense and I think I may be in the clear! Now to worry about how much to take...:unsure:
