was doing so well..please help, lump in mouth

i finished CBT in January which was successful in terms of health anxiety.. i have been doing so well but yesterday I found a lump on my gums right at the top above my teeth.
i am sat in the library trying to do an essay but i have such a headache because i want to cry
this is it, i dont see another resonable explanation for the lump, i have drank and smoke since i was 14, this is cancer :(

Well obviously we cannot see the lump but it could be a number of things.

I had a lump on the roof of my mouth and that was a wart would you believe and I had it removed.

You need to go and see the dentist who will be able to advise better.

It could be an abscess or a gum boil (my friend had one of those). It could also just be a bump where you have scratched yourself on some food or from brushing too hard or whatever. Don't assume the worst and go and see your Dentist who will be able to advise you. Good luck. :flowers:
