View Full Version : A wierd one! - Strange thoughts
Hi All
This is a bit of a strange one and Im hoping it isnt just me............... Does any one get really strange thoughts of bad things that will happen to them that are really unrealisitc in terms of health, For example I fear my eyes will roll in the Back of my head, I will swallow my tounge my head will jolt back etc, at the time it feels so real yet these are so unlikely (i hope!!! [V])
Any advise or similar thoughts would be appreciated

hi wendy,
i get some strange thoughts like that too sometimes, usually when i have a high level of anxiety, i think it is our bodies telling us they are fearful of something and it is one of the manifestations of that fear....
on a funny note, i was standing at the tram stop a month ago and yawned a really big yawn while i was turning my head, and i pulled my tongue!!! i couldn't talk for a day!!!! tee hee hee, i had to have a good laugh at that one, leave it to me to pull my tongue while yawning!!
that said, i think those fears point to the feeling of being out of control, and maybe it is important to work on what helps you feel like you are in control...? even if it is something small, something related to your physical body, you know? like doing some knee bends or stretching exercises...
take care
