Ovulation pain

Hi

I am wondering how long peoples ovulation pain lasts. i thought i had it last week but a week on feel like got it again but it may be trapped wind and my ibs, i have come off the pill so feeling more pain and my cycle has not yet got back to its normal cycle so am assuming it is going to be hard to know when ovulating as not sure on my cycle. Could this all be related to my hormones and periods and different times of the month.

I had pain last wk like achy but now it's alot more painful it switches sides and feels like I'm about to come on. Hope it's just the hormones too! Some say it can last 24-48 hours others I've read say 3-10 days?!?

Before I went on the pill I would feel achy/bit of pain for about a day then around 1 and a half to 2 weeks later would come on my period.
