Hi

I just wondered if anyone had read 'The Mindful way through depression' by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Mark Williams, and if anyone had done the 8 week programme?

If so was it helpful?

Thanks if you can help.

Yes am doing it .... highly recommend it. I'm on week 6 but will follow up with a course locally.

Also worth reading is "Full Catastrophe Living" by JKZ - an excellent book.

Hi

Thanks very much for your replies, its encouraging to hear that this book and mindfulness has helped others. It will help me to carry on with the programme even when I am feeling down.

Sanmarbo - keep up the good work, I would love to know if you have noticed any difference at the end of the programme.

Thanks again for your help.

The suggestion is that, even though you may find the 8 week programme meditations boring, not working, whatever, just CONTINUE it and let go of any goal or outcome.
