I'm having a home visit from a Doctor tomorrow as my DLA payment is being "reviewed". I've suffered agitated depression for over 20 years and my nerve are wrecked in anticipation of this visit. Anyone out there have a similar situation and have any advice in how to approach this as I'm sure they will ask me trick questions ?

from what I've read, describe your worst day.

I strongly recommend that you have someone with you if at all possible. A family member perhaps? Even better, if you have a CPN or Support Worker, ask them to be there.

Are you currently under psychiatric care or the care of your GP?

Also, answers questions briefly. Yes or No answers where appropriate. Don't try to fill uncomfortable gaps by talking unnessarily.

Ask them what employer would employ someone who doesn't know which days of the week they are able to leave the house? Even part-time work is not an option for people who suffer from the unpredictably of this illness.

Good Luck and remember, there's always an appeal if need be.
