I have PVC's/ectopic beats that sometimes crop up, prevent me from sleeping, and generally make me very anxious. For whatever reason about 6 months ago I started eating cheap bran cereal for the fiber. Magically the PVC's stopped.
Each time I stop eating the bran cereal, the PVC's return. This pattern has repeated itself about 4 times. I will stop eating the bran cereal, about a week later the PVC's will be back full force. Then I will eat the cereal, and PVC's will be diminished, and the next day - GONE! Symptom free.
It just happened again, and it has gotten to the point where I am afraid to run out of bran cereal. This is gerenic bran cereal that is spayed with all kinds of chemicals. I think it has something to do with a vitamin there I'm probably deficient in -- thinking magnesium or iron, as I'm a vegetarian and a child-bearing woman.
Here's the nutrition facts (3/4 cup cereal with milk, I probably eat twice this much for a serving):

Does anyone have any idea which one of these minerals could be helping my PVC's? When I eat this cereal the change is DRAMATIC -- from horrible PVC's to none, and it happens in a day or two. That seems to fast for iron, I'm thinking magnesium?
