My jaws always cracked if I move it however the past couple of months it has become painful on the left hand side. It's not there all the time, and usually only hurts if I'm chewing something. It feels like when you need to crack your fingers almost, except I can't. It'll sometimes sort of lock when I yawn or something as well sometimes.

Does anyone else get this? And is it something I should get checked out?

TMJ -Temporomandibular joint disorder
I have it ever since I hurt my jaw years back, mine clicks, pops, sometimes locks up which is kinda scary!
I've not really had much done with it, besides an xray and a night guard to wear in your mouth to stop you grinding your teeth while you sleep.
go to your doctor for a referral to a specialist.

don't chew gum, don't bite into apple, cut it up into small pieces, just put as little pressure on your jaw as possiable.
warmth can help if your prone to muscle spasms in your jaw.

Thanks for that :)
I see my doctor on the 9th anyway so if it's still bothering me then I'll ask him then!
