I am having a barium enema on Fri. and have been fasting and taking the meds however, I am a bit confused. Tomorrow I take the sachet of picalax at 8 a.m. but it says on the instructions ' Change to the following liquid diet FROM breakfast time' Does this mean I can have 2 pieces of dry toast before I take the laxative? I am dreading tomorrow and all the liquid to drink and all the toilet visits. I have had this procedure 2 times before and I usually feel like a limp rag for up to a week. I also hope I do not disgrace myself on the way home from the Hospital. :blush:
