Probably making a fuss over nothing. I hate doctors and hospitals am geeting in a sate as i have an appointment to see a specialist at the hospital on Thursday morning as i have something on my back that neds to be checked. hope its nothing prob is but im scared. Not scared so much of what it could be but scared of the doctor and hospital....Stupid i know.

Not sure if ill even go to the appt as may get the btter of me!!

If you didn't go to your appointment, this time next week you would feel even worse for not having gone. The potential relief of going and getting good results are so worth it don't you think?

Medical appointments are incredibly stressful, but there is much more stress to be had by not following them through, I would say. Not sure of the best way to cope with it as I'm rubbish even going to the GP, but do seek out strategies for managing the fear, breathing and distraction, positive thinking and rationalising thoughts to be less negative...I'm sure more people on here have better answers....but please don't not go.

Have you told your GP how frightened you are as they can give you a one off dose of diazepam to take before your appt. I am also terrified of Drs and anything medical and as soon as I get through the doors of Drs surgery or hospital my heartrate rockets which is not good as hospitals always take your BP and pulse:wacko:
