A long story

Hi All,

I'll try and keep this short, but basically early March I found out I was pregnant, on the 10th March had a termination due to possible health issues. On the 11th April I had the Mirena Coil fitted, I bleed a week later for about 10 days and then all settled. Last week I had bad abdominal pain, which lasted about an hour or so. After this my low abdomen and to the sides have been very tender and uncomfortable.

I would of thought a period is around aswell due to the timing. Thing is my head now thinks ovarian cysts, ovarian C etc etc. Has anyone had the coil and pain before. Its only been in 5 weeks and approx 10 weeks and my body has been through pregancy, termination and coil!!

Any feedback to stop me getting irrational, would be really appreciated.

Hi Emma,

I had a coil fitted and period pain can worsen considerably with them. I would take some painkillers and keep an eye on your temperature as it is quite new to your system. If you have any concerns you should have a chat with your GP. :)
