Skin Picking

I don't know if I've posted this in the right place. The thing is that for the last year or so I have been skin picking. If there is a spot or scab on my legs arms or back, I pick at it until the scab comes off. I am not left with a lot of scarring on my body, which is very noticable. Is this a form of anxiety?

I do exactly the same, it has become more noticable since diagnosed with anxiety. I think its a nervous thing which then turns into a habit.

I do it too. I am not sure what it is about...I would guess nerves or mood. My daughter insists it is self-abuse. I have to admit at times my body does look like it has been abused. I pick at any bump, pimple, insect bite, scab or scratch. If I am anxious it is always worse.
