Book Suggestion: Know Your Chances - Understanding Health Statistics

Hi All,

I just got a really good book called "know your chances" by Steven Woloshin, MD

It's really great for helping wade through the media and health statistics...for me being scared of melanoma is TOTALLY in perspective now....it has some really great charts to show you what stats like 1 in 50 REALLY mean...it's sooo misleading and scary....

I'd highly suggest checking it out if any of you get scared by stats in the media...the goal is to develop a healthy skepticism when stats are shown in the media which I think would help us all!

Sounds fasinating, I wonder what the statistics of melenoma here in the uk means really?? Its 1 in 150 but I bet it is very mis leading which of course feeds our crazy mind even more xx hope u r wining your struggle now xx
