went for a few drinks after work and was fine. one of my mates knows about my anxiety but his friend doesn't, then just had a full blown panic outside the pub so embarrassed! :-( can't sleep now, they'r just going to think i'm a complete weirdo

Sorry to hear it happened Kate but all you can do is try to explain it or if your friend already knows get them to try to explain it for you.
If people have knowledge they tend not to judge.

thanks. i saw my friend today and he reassured me. you know what it's like though when it happens it feels like the worst thing in the world!

I used to tell people in advance that I'm crazy and they'd usually laugh at me.
Luckily though I've never had an episode in front of them.All of my bad times seemed to happen at home.
I haven't had an attack for about 6 yrs now but still consider myself to be a sufferer even though I now lead a "normal" med free life.
