Does Citalopram cause Flatulence?

Hi All,

Has anybody suffered from this as a side effect?

My flatulence is getting on my nerves, it seems to be the last 12 - 18 months I have started with this annoying problem (more cos of rotten embarassing stink).

If you have, how have you managed to keep it at bay? I'm hoping I haven't got IBS, my mum has it and I know how bad that is. I'm going to cut out beans, green veg and excessive red meat and do my relaxation again hopefully the symptoms will get easier to cope with.

I've had this problem since taking Cit & find if I don't eat bread it's less troublesome.

A little bit of f**ting last night but missus did beans with our tea so I guess that didn't help.

I started cutting out tea and coffee and switched to herbal tea, also bought pro-biotic yoghurts to help with digestion..they taste really nice and I'm making sure I eat a banana every day. Just need to switch from wholemeal bread to oatmeal as well as cereals.
