View Full Version : What to do with all that stress and adrenalin?

When I feel anxious, I feel a massive surge of adrenalin release into my body and it leaves me feeling shaky and nervous. This happens usually at about 5am (before I have to go to work); it tears me from my sleep and keeps me awake. When I get to work, I feel shaky and nervous- the fight or flight response left from the adrenaline. it leaves me feeling weak and dizzy.
How can I fight this? Would pills help? When I go to bed, I feel perfectly relaxed but wake up almost every day at about 5am!

Hi, I guess you wake up at 5am as this is when you need to be up to get ready to go to your work?

Its usually 2-3 hours before I have to get up to get ready for work

You could try walk it off, you don't have to go outside, you could just walk around your house a few times so it uses up some of the adrenaline.

If it's causing you a lot of distress, you could go see your doc to see what options are available to you if medication is a route you might be interested in. Hope you feel better soon. x
