Hi guys! Signed up afew days ago but have been laid up with a cold, so havent posted. Im Susan. Im 42 and have 2 children,-13 yr old boy and a nearly 18 yr old girl. I live in deepest, darkest W. Wales- moved from london, SW14, 8yrs ago- lifestyle change and all that. The grotty bit- I have suffered from intense anxiety up and down for 17 yrs and had lesser anxiety and stress caused illness for most of my life. At the moment it is only really bothering me badly when I go out... fine if you want to live like a hermit! I am seeing a specialist at hospital- again tomorrow actually, as Ive had other symptoms with it. Got to have more tests, looks like fibromyalgia at the moment. that apparently causes depression/ anxiety aswell, so thats fun. Ive got a wierd tremor thing which is what bothers me most.- Anxiety-wise its the usual chest pain, palpatations at speed and dancing heartbeat, sweats, dizziness, nausea and the desire to break out in a dreadful wail... not too much of an overreaction I think! At the moment I am planning to go to college in sept- to study psychology... theres a bizzare humour in it somewhere!.. It should be interesting to see how that goes. things I love- Art ,Music, literature, Animals, Life, Good People. Things I hate... Rude people, insensitive people and people who say "just calm down", "I suffer with nerves, I just dont give in to it!" My good points- loyal, supportive, warm, affectionate. My bad traits... Waving my arms in the air, shouting " really?.. I hadnt thought of that! and other general over reactions. (Depends how you look at it- I think its good to express how you feel...?[:I] Anyway, will end here or Ill be tapping away all night. Pleased to meet you all! Rainbows and moonbeams, Susan.[8D]

Hi Susan

Your post made me smile! I only just found it for some reason but I totally identify with most of what you say and like you my sense of humour saves me from degenerating into the wreck I sometimes feel!!!

There is loads of help to be found here and I look forward to seeing you around the site!

btw you would probably have got more welcoming responses on the 'introduce yourself' board - people check that regularly!

Good luck xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
