neurologist tomorrow - lil bit scared

hiya guys,

i have my long awaited appt with the neuro tmoro for my lightheaded symptoms. the funny thing is the last month i have been feeling alot better but today they suddenly came back :( im not sure if its just cos i know i have the appt and im working myself up.

i am almost convinced i have a brain tumour and i am soooo scared of what they will do and say tmoro!!

i do not want a mri scan - has any1 had one before?

please any support or advice be good

Hi Mike, who are you seeing?
I worked for Mr Chocksey and Mr Stanworth in the old Walsgrave hospital.

I myself have had an MRI, its painless and takes 5 mins.

dr grubneauk or one of his consultants...... to be fair i am feeling ok recently but still a little concerned about what they will do. do they order the mri's straightaway or make u come back?

Your letter should state what they are planning to do tomorrow. If you are having an MRI, the results are available straight away and the consultant will talk to you afterwards, you dont have to come back.

my appt is only in the out patient dept so i assume its just a regular check with no ct or mri then!!! the gp is nly sending me for peace of mind as he thinks i have nothing to worry about but you know what anxiety is like! :(

i sure it will be ok!!
