Advice - Citalopram to Sertraline

My husband went to see his psychiatrist today and he is being moved from Citalopram to Sertraline this week. His Dr said to cut his Citalopram in half for the next three days and then to move onto the Sertraline but I am wondering if anyone else has any other advice for making this move? Anyone done it before?

When I swtiched from Seroxat to Sertraline, I tapered down 1 week 20mg, 1 week 10mg and then 5mg for the last week my doctor had a chart that showed what to do for each anti-depressant and then I started on the lowest dose of sertraline
