hi there...i have been suffering from depression panic anxiety for years since a terribly shocking incident...i have been feeling well for ages now...about six months or so since my last bout of depression which is amazing for me..i dont take anti depressents but i do self medicate , with some sleeping pills and booze ( i love my wine) ....so i have started to do things that i would not normally do...socialise etc and alls been well. the only thing i cnat seem to do without a huge panic attack is stay away from my home overnight...which means i just cant take my kids on holiday or anything...its getting me down..i bought a campervan thinking that if i make it "my home from home" it would be a way of travelling that way but used it last month and i had a huge panic attack in a very small space aaaarrrghh....i am supposed to be going away tomorrow night again but am very aprehensive....shall i bottle it?

as hard as it might be, i really think you need to face the fear and just go. I've found in the past that if you stay in your comfort zone for too long you begin to become a bit agoraphobic. As horrible as panic attacks are, they do pass and you will return to normal. You just have to keep telling yourself that 'it's only anxiety, it's not going to kill me!' and wait for it to pass. Don't let it beat you. Live your life and try and enjoy yourself!
