citalphram and amatriptaline

im on 40g cital for depression and drs put me on 10mg of amatriptalyne for pain, is this ok to mix..?

Im sure your Dr wouldnt give you anything that wouldnt be ok together hun ..They work differently and arent the same .Seems a high dose for pain tho .I was on 5mg and that worked for nerve pain ...Sue x

I just checked for you and it is safe to take together .It my give you headaches for a while but is generally good for pain .Start off with what the Dr gave and see if you tolerate it ok ...Sue x

This is become a common treatment for chronic pain, I was prescribed amitryptaline last year at 10mg increasing to 30mg. I found it effective at first but this wore off after a few months, I had a faster heart rate as a side effect. I'm now taking 15mg of Mirtazapine with 30mg Cit, this works well for me.
