Hi Everyone.
I am totally confused now, sort of angry too. Grrrrr, don't know what to do and kind of hard to explain.
Basically around 3 years ago, I saw specialists and they sort of couldn't say for certain I have pcos, but there again they couldn't say I didn't have it, as I have many of the symptoms. I have been on Metformin for quite some time.
Well my periods are either none, or constantly on and can be very heavy too. Keep going to the drs, she put me on the cerazette, well I just spotted constantly whilst on that. Got referred again to see a gynecologist, had smear test done, and adominal and internal scans done. Which came back normal. Went to see the gynecologist again, well, he was rude as hell. Didn't say hi or anything, and said about the bleeding, (at the moment have not had a period for such a long time). Looked through my notes and said oh you do not have PCOS, Polycystic Ovary Symdrome and then mentioned about upping the metformin ??. (what the hell)
He said oh the smear, test and the scans are fine, you don't have any cysts on the ovaries etc.
I am totally confused, if I don't have PCOS, why did I take the Metformin for x amount of years, which I had to pay for. He is referring me to Endocrinology Department so they can review my recent blood test.
I am not sure if I should take these Metformin pills or not, so confused its running through my head 24 /7 I guess its getting me down.
