Tingling tongue

Hi everyone,

I had a pretty bad panic attack 2 days ago, and during the panic attack my tongue started tingling/going numb. after the panic attack was over, i still have had this tingling/burning/twitching feeling. I'm really scared and I was wondering if any of you have ever had this happen before. its been 2, almost 3 days now and this sensation is still present. Please help.

tingling is very common with anxiety so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Uses to get this quite a lot a few years back and I was so scared I went to the gp who sat and explained to me it is all to do with Hyperventilation not sure if I have spelt that right.
Try to slow your breathing down.
I know it is really scary but I promise you it is totally harmless

Thanks for the response, it feels really weird and uncomfortable, any idea how long the feeling lasted for? Its beeen almost 4 days now and my tongue is constantly tingling

Have ad it up to a week at a time.
The more you think of it the worse it becomes.
I have it in my lips as well
