New to this... Need help !

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this website and really need your help.
6 years ago my best friend committed suicide and since
About 6 months after her death I was put on anti depressants.
Not long after that i started suffering with panic attacks, then
I started having unexplained pains in my back, arms, chest, neck
And head, after numerous tests the doctors came to the conclusion
I had fibromyalgia.

Over the last few months I've been having constant thoughts if death
And think I'm going to die very soon. Every night I pray that I wake in
The morning. It's worst at night. I feel like I'm going crazy :( the pain in
My chest has been diagnosed as chostochondritis. And I've had all the tests
Done, ECG etc... It's so scary and I feel so alone. Please tell me I'm not the
Only one ?????

Welcome to NMP. It sounds like you have been through an awful lot and it isn't surprising that the stress of it all has taken its toll on you. We are all anxious on here, so you are certainly not the only one! Have a look through the forum and you will see just how many people are struggling with these issues. You can also pop in to the chat room if you feel you need someone to talk to.

I have been on anti-depressants for around four months now and am actually so much better than I was originally. Do you think it would help to tell your doctor about how you are feeling, as maybe he could help in some way with counselling or extra medication? After what you have gone through counselling may help you deal with it all and bring down your anxiety.

Many people with health anxieties post on that particular section of the forum, so you would probably find lots of help on there if that is what troubles you most. Once again, welcome to the site Kittiecat, you are NOT alone! :)
