A while back I found a site that had a small fee to get online help for anxiety. I've forgotten what it's called. Does anyone know of any trusted/good sites like this?

I keep getting racing heart and closing throat feeling and it's terrifying :(

Can you not post about those worries on here instead of finding another site that charges though or are you looking for something more?

Hi,

Everyone should try...

You have to register, and it’s a long process but it’s excellent!

It's just to try and find something sort of along the lines of a CBT/trained professional who I can talk to and get help from online? There's such limited things where I live for anxiety (I live in the Highlands of Scotland) and I'm finding it hard to get help really.

This forum is amazing and helps, but I do find it enhances my reasurring and checking needs, which i've been told is counter productive. Nothing against the amazing helpful people here though :]

Not sure if something like this exists though.

Ok well I promote Robin Hall who is a CBT therapist.

There is a cost involved though - but it is very reasonable. Maybe have a look at that.

You could also try the "No Panic" telephone recovery course if you fancy that. They are a charity.

I've had a look at the Robin Hall one, not sure I can afford the best programme, but I'm thinking about the cheaper ones. Do they come as ebooks or actual books?

I've been doing a real life mindfulness course and found it very helpful

I use clarifylife and moodgym
The comparison is here

I like them for different reasons but both can get tedious at times.
But they beat the cost of a live person

The only free ones I know of are moodgym that was mentioned and is very good but tedious. I personally use clarifylife.

Anxiety ideally needs people around you. Unless they are the source of the fear.
This is not just for anyone, you have to like to in a sense chat on a computer and diligently answer strange sounding questions.
But if I could afford therapy I would do that, but here in the us, if insurance pays for it, you are considered uninsurable if you become unemployed.
The other stuff that I do is the free 12 step programs I go to.
I feel sad that I can't help people that are afraid unless they are loved ones and a hug takes care of it for them.
But bottom line a sense of safety is an illusion that we create for ourself anyway.
