View Full Version : Restless/Tired Tongue with TMJ?

I have had quite a bit of Health Anxiety lately (you can read all about it in the recent post I made in the introduction forums).

I have what I believe to be TMJ (bruxism, popping etc...) I find when I'm stressed I grind my teeth often. Is it possible to make your tongue feel tired after lots of clenching? I have also been moving my tongue around a bit yesterday in an attempt to practice proper tongue placement in my mouth due to my high palette and trouble breathing through my nose. I'm assuming the extra bit of use from these exercises yesterday and the clenching may be the cause...or maybe the cause is my anxiety itself. Or maybe none of this makes sense?

I'd appreciate some thoughts on this :)

:shrug:I have TMJ. Causes a lot of tension in the whole head and neck for me. Of course the anxiety causes the TMJ to act up too. Which comes first.
