Hello all,

Been a while since I've been on here...feeling a whole world of better these days.
But (there's always a but!), I just returned from a camping trip up in the Highlands of Scotland with some friends, and we have all discovered ridiculous amounts of ticks (I had 16, and that was the lower end - one of my friends had 29!!)...is it worth going to the doctors, considering the high number and the threat of Lyme Disease? Or should I just leave it?

Cheers,

Stu

I would go Docs, not because I think you have anything but because you will I am sure like all of us worry yourself sick and thats not good for you either.
So off you go and get checked out and then enjoy the memories of a great time in scotland which does seem to have a lot of ticks, the chances of getting Lymes disease are very rare as well.

The carriers of Lyme disease are called deer ticks which are not indigenous to Scotland and are usually only found in parts of America and Canada. I very much doubt they were deer ticsk.
