Middle/Upper back pain - IBS/Constipation?

Anyone get middle or upper back pain with their IBS and/or Constipation? I went to see the doctor and he poked and prodded and said everything seems fine and that it's most likely muscular, but then he said IBS doesn't cause back pain which left me really quite confused as I have been told and read that it does.

I have IBS and i have suffered with upper back pain quite bad but never thought the two went together.

i thought the upper back pain was down to the anx because i was so tense.

i have never read that the two are connected

yes i get all.. the upper back pain can be because we are tense or because we have trapped wind because we are blocked up xxx
