I saw the DR today about my breast and she's reffered me to a breast clinic because she says the one thats hot feels lumpier too. It STILL feels hotter, and there's an area on it thats sore :(

She says it should be nothing to worry about, and it's probably something benign, and if it was something terrible it wouldn't be as long for an app.

But i'm literally loosing my mind over this :( I have to wait 2-3 weeks for an app. at the clinic. And waiting for something like this is going to be horrific.

I don't understand WHY it's hotter!? Just one breast, ALL the time :( And now she's saying it's lumpier and it hurts too :(

Hi

Obviously I'm not a doctor and I can't give you medical advice but when I went to my doc about pain in breast he said that hearing there is pain makes a doctor happy as there generally isn't pain with things like cancer, so hope that helps.
The waiting is the worst though it just makes you even more anxious and it's like you can't do anything for the next 2-3 weeks because all you can do is think about the upcoming app. I'm sure your doc is right though if it was serious they wouldn't have you waiting around for weeks. Just try to do something you really enjot to take your mind off it.
All the best xx

Thanks for your reply :)

I'm just worried cos I'm not sure about pain being a symptom of inflammatory breast cancer. :( so worried.

Hey I was referred to the hospital cos I had a lumpy breast and I was as really nervous about it. The doctor said that there was nothing to worry about and that she just wanted to be 100 per cent sure.Mine was nothing the doctor at the hospital said that its just something that some people have and although its lumpy it is nothing to be concerned about. I also found out that my nana and my mum both have the same thing so I am guessing it runs in the family. :)

I would try not to worry - it could just be mastitis? or a blocked duct? or an abscess?

Inflammatory breast cancer rare and if doc at all concerned would have you seen immediately.

This is just a precaution and you will feel so much better once done and your mind put at rest.
