So i am on day five of taking omeprazole for acid reflux (40 mg a day for a week to be reduced to 20 mg for second week). Last night i was laying in bed trying to fall asleep and i had terrible reflux/heartburn feeling, it was so bad i had a hot flush and felt sick.
Has anyone had continued symptoms after starting these meds? It does feel like they are working as the acid feeling during the day is definatly less than it was but its still not gone completely.
I also have what feels like a lump of air stuck just above my stomach which is causing hunger pangs all the time even when i've just eaten and a bit of a heartburn feeling. It feels like trapped wind but nothing will move it. If i drink anything it just seems to make the feeling worse/burn more.
