Every few days, I can feel lots of phlegm in my throat for about an hour, and then I get a soar throat for about 3 hours. Then it goes completely and it starts again in a few days. I'm unsure what this could be. I also seem to have a swollen lymph node just under my jaw, on my right side. It's been there for a few days.

I'm worried it's lymphoma because I've had a swollen lymph node behind my right ear for about 4 months, as well as petechiae. I've had a blood test which came back normal, but that was just over a month ago.

I've heard that tonsils can swell if you have lymphoma so I'm scared that's what's causing my soar throat.

I'm so scared. :(

If you have allergies (like me) and/or acid reflux (also like me), your chronic sore throat is most likely due to any or both of those. See your doctor. :)

Thanks. I don't have allergies or acid reflux, but if my sore throat comes back again and if my lymph node is still swollen I'll see my Doctor on Tuesday. :)
