new floaters worried its retinal detachment

Hi everyone it's me again. I am really worrying. I've always had a few floaters but all of a sudden I have developed a lot more I noticed it suddenly a few weeks ago. And now i've googled it and am worrying it's retinal detachment. Don't like the thought of having those drops in my eye either to check my eyesight. xx

I'm always checking for floaters. In the end I booked an eye test and told the optician that I was worried. It all looked fine to him and I felt a lot better. No dye this time either!

Good. Retinal detachments will blind you with the amount of floaters very suddenly - I don't think that would be the case with you but the optician will put your mind at ease.
