red lumps back of throat, have veins coming around outside of them....anybody?

i got these after stop smoking a year ago.........i always seem to get sore throats and tongue aswell.

maybe i should go back to smoking lol

This is merely inflamed tonsillar tissue. Realize that tonsil tissue exists throughout the pharynx and not just within the context of the more obvious palatine tonsil region.

When inflamed tonsillar tissue is observed on the rear wall of the pharynx, it is typically due to drainage from the sinuses. The vessels merely become more prominent due to the fact that they lie so close to the surface of the mucosal lining in that area.

It is nothing serious and you can consult with your primary care physician concerning whether to treat the condition with decongestants or drying agents that will reduce post-nasal drainage.

thank you for your input........seeing a ent specialist at the moment he has put me on a anti ruflux drug said take it for 6 weeks and if it doesnt clear up to come back......well 6 weeks are up and there still there lol will tell you what he says in next appointment
