Gnawing Feeling

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what a "gnawing feelng" is?

I have been reading a web page about anxiety and on the list of symptoms under stomach symtoms it says "gnawing feeling".

just a feelnig that something is not right, a sinknig feeling. the feeling im sure is very differently described by us all but it is a feeling that something bad is about to happen but it doesnt last for a few seconds but sometimes for weeks

some people describe it like a fluttering feeling like butterflies or thatfeeling of aprehension that you get prior to an interview or a big day.
like jackie said everyone describes it differently
