Hey so found out have acid reflux and have been prescribed Lansoprazole 30mg BUT i'm too scared to take it as never had it before and my body rejects or has allergies to most medication and made the mistake of reading side effects and the top one mentioned was Anaphylaxis which is my main fear.
Are there any other ways to help with relux other than medication?

Well the main one is diet, smoking and alcohol.

I don't mean take them all up either lol

I stopped drinking alcohol 2/3 months ago when i realised it was a trigger to my attacks,i'm trying to eat better but have a fear of eating and can only manage half a child portion of food which i'm trying to overcome and as for smoking wise i'm going to kick my butt into gear and see my doctor about getting help to quit lol

Hi again

Do you mean you are only eating one small portion of food over the entire day?

Yes i only eat once a day and it isn't much which i know is bad but since having panic attacks i have a phobia of food getting stuck in my throat and when i did eat it would feel like my tongue was swelling and tingly (which i now know is caused by the reflux) i'm looking into therapy to try to help me eat again.
Thanks will look on there now
