This may not be your issue as you say you are in so much pain. But...

I had pain on the top teeth on both sides, not the roof of my mouth though. it felt like it was where my cheek bones were. It wasn't the same level of pain as you describe. I went to dentist and he couldn't find anything via exray. He did say that my teeth were close to my sinuses. Ended up being a sinus infection and I had to take antiobiotics.

I'm not sure if it's related. I had a really bad case of tooth pain last year. It was so bad that I too cannot eat or drink. And worse, I couldn't sleep at all. It was like clockwork, I get the unbearable pain radiating to the top of my mouth and my left cheek every 15mins or so. The pain started on a Saturday evening, and since no dentists were opened on Sunday, I had to endure the pain till Monday morning.
The dentist took an x-ray and told me I needed an immediate root canal treatment on my molar, which I did and then the pain was gone! Phew.
Did you get an x-ray of your teeth?

Could you not insist to get an x-ray since you're still in pain?

Well what I do is go to my GP and get prescription painkillers for my teeth pain,
