I was doing well for quite some time, my boyfriend has been a huge help in rationalising my symptoms for me, but lately it's a complete mess again.

The last couple of months, I have intermittent pain below my lower right ribs, with sometimes my ribs there hurting to the touch (as if bruised). There are painful spots on my ribs if I push them (on the right side close to the area where it hurts). These spots I have both left and right. At the moment I rarely feel the pain, it has subsided again since last Wednesday or so. The more present pain lasts for one or two days.
I also had a mild itching all over my body for a couple of days some weeks ago. It was totally random and felt as if a hair is tickling in your face. As soon as I scratched the itchy spot, it left, only to appear elsewhere. When distracted, it wasn't all that bad.
My thoughts: liver disease/cancer

Then I also had a sudden shooting pain on the right side of my throat before I went to bed a couple of weeks ago, which made worse when swallowing. It only lasted for about five minutes, then the pain subsided. It was as if an insect stung me inside my throat.
Now my neck muscles hurt/are very tight and I get a lumpy feeling in my throat. It doesn't hurt anymore. I've also got a swollen gland there that hurts a bit.
My thoughts: throat cancer

Yesterday when I was getting ready to go to sleep I suddenly started having a dull tummy ache that comes and goes. I went into full panic mode since someone I know has been infected with the EHEC bacteria and nearly died. I did pass a lot of gas yesterday, so stomach probably is a bit upset, at least I hope. I was constipated for a couple of days but went yesterday morning, and also this morning. The pain is still there however.

And last, my scalp hurts in some places.

I hate these stupid symptoms. They are so many and I haven't got a clue if they are all anxiety or some serious illness :weep: I'm scared I have some sort of cancer that is spreading throughout my body

Hi
I knwo where your coming from, where its confusing to think that anxiety can cause such symtoms there fore we think its something serious, and its hard to tell.
Im exactly the same, if i get chest pains or breast pains i think its cancer or im going to have a stroke, therefore my lips start twitching and i notice my arm like if its going to numb and i just pick out things. Then if im breathless for no reason just sitting say on the computer then i need to gasp for air, i think im dying, or having an asthma attack (which i aparanyly dont have asthma)

I sometime gets disturbed vision where things seem to bright and make me feel dizzy but thats apparantly due to anxiety, but i convince im going blind or got someething wrong with my brain.

Its never ending, so i know exactly how you feel when you say theres so many things and its hard to tell if its due to something serious.

Your missing the most important symptom of all and the obvious answer staring right in your face yet you are not able to see it... Cancer or liver desease yes the symptoms you describe althou extremely rare can be caused by these illnesses but googling, irrational thoughts, posting on forums terrified for re-assurance is the most obvious symptom you need to focus on. This proved beyond doubt to me that your problem is in your thinking and not your body..

Is anxiety causing my symptoms or the symptoms causing my anxiety is the most asked and thought about question in ALL anxiety sufferers but the answer is always the same, ITS BOTH they feed off eachother..

Its very hard for the mind to accept for some reason

hello,

I also like you feel those feeling were your hairs feel like they are up and tickling you all over. a couple of years ago i had a chest pain right between the chest and back. i thought it was lung cancer because i smoke. i had this pain for months. i was sure that i was going to be dead. well one day i started obsessing about MS and guess what? the pain in my chest went away and other syptoms that are MS related started to happen. try to think about something else. i know it is hard but try.

People do not understand us, how we turn every feeling in our bodys into a deadly outcome and it stinks because i to feel like my life is ruined due to all this and i hope someday i find a way to live life day by day and for the now

Thanks for your replies, everyone :hugs:I know I have to stop Googling, and stop worrying. Deep inside I know it won't matter if I do or don't worry, what will happen will happen. It would be nice to have a carefree day every once in a while.

Last year my GP sent me to internal medicine specialist because I had low levels of vitamin B12, and because of my many symptoms (which were different at the time, except for some painful spots in my abdominal area -different then the current spot-). He took bloods, urine sample, chest X-ray and all came back clear. He said I had to learn to live with my symptoms since nothing was found. Also, I asked how one can tell the difference between "benign" symptoms and symptoms that can be attributed to an illness. He didn't know.

My GP mentioned that I may have fibromyalgia because of the bruised spots (but no visible bruise) that I can feel on symmetrical left and right on my body.
I have a new GP now because I moved and I have only visited him once, trying not to go for every new symptom, which is a huge step for me.

I guess I'm not very ill since I did a whole lot of homework and work in the garden today. My intestines are very active, at least I can feel them a lot, but I haven't had stomach pain back for the last couple of hours or so. I ate normally and even treated myself on icecream just now.
