scared of changing my medication..pls reply

Hello,iv bin on citalpram 20mg for three years but feel theyv stopped working,so today my dr gavr me sertaline 50mg...im scared about taking this tonight,has anyone else done this and hiw was you?please give me advice...thanks

Hi 20mg is a low dose in citalopram you may have needed to go up to 40mg.

Do you have to take the new meds before bed as this will help if you get any side affects,which you may not get of course.:hugs:

Hi Katie.

I was on Citalopram 20mg and then moved up to 40mg and eventually I was weened onto Duloxetine. I felt Citalopram wasn't working and it was making me feel more tired and worse. Duloxetine has made me feel less tired and sluggish. I have had ups and downs and currently on a down. I hope you make a successful transistion onto your new medication.
