Been told only I can MAKE myself go back to work and get better...that no one can help me, even a wellbeing advisor cannot help me, they can only listen...

Is this true? Am I just holding back? Am I not trying enough to get back to me?

Hi yah

I am sure you are desperate to get back to work and do what you did before.

I am sure an advisor CAN help you realise your goals but, ultimately it is US who can get us where we want to be in life.

Start by not beating yourself up about it all, I am sure you will return to work when you are ready.

It is easy for "others" to stay "we" are holding back.

Hang in there and be strong.....

That's probably the toughest thing to deal with, we can only make ourselves better...no-one can do it for us.

I know that when I feel really anxious, or even if I just THINK I will feel anxious, I will do anything to avoid going out (hence, I am now agoraphobic!!), but that doesn't stop me having grand plans every morning on what I will do. Then the anxious feelings kick in and I chicken out. It's really frustrating.

The trick is to go slowly, build it up. We will all get there eventually!! Good luck xx

I wish I could just stop my body from feeling these things and stop my mind for making it happen!

But I know we will all get there eventually, just takes time!
