I'm only 19 but have started to worry about cervical cancer since hearing about some young women who get cervical cancer in their early twenties and are told they only have a few years to live! :(
I am just looking for some information about cervical cancer.
I have been sexually active for just over a year now and have only had sex with one man who is currently my boyfriend and he was a virgin. I am on the pill so don't use condoms.
Is it common for young women to get cervical cancer and how long does it take for this cancer to develop? Is it years? And why do women in the UK have to wait until they are 25 to have their first smear test when younger women are diagnosed with this cancer?
