Left tampon in too long - TSS fears

Hi,

I rarely wear tampons any more, but I did yesterday. I used it from about 3:30pm (forgot about it) until about 8:30am this morning. It’s really strange for me to forget about it like that, but I did, and know I’m terrified of toxic shock syndrome.

I’m trying to calm myself down but, I’m in this forum, so I’m not great at that.

I’m worried I’ll start getting terribly sick in the next few hours or days. I’m also allergic to penicillin, so that worries me too as it’s a treatment.

Please, help.

It's exceptionally rare, and if you did experience it you'd already be in a very bad way. If it hasn't already happened, it's not going to.

Never liked tampons. I thought my mum had a mouse stuffed up her foo when I was a little girl. Put me right off em. :scared15:
