Ranitidine anyone used it? Esophegal spams..
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone here has used Ranitidine before? For reflux pain etc?
I have been experiencing severe upper back pain, burping, nausea and throat pain into upper chest and was told it was linked to reflux issues and experiencing esophegal spasms.
The pain is unbearable, feels like someone is constantly squeezing my neck and lower throat and knife through my upper back. It used to let up in the past but at the moment no respite for 48hrs.
The GP prescribed me ranitidine on top of my usual emezerapole (excuse spelling plese!) but as usual with my health anxiety read the side effect of increased chance of getting pneumonia and frightened to take the ranitidine! As well as the usual 'allergic reactions' warning..
Ugh.
It's no good when you don't trust the GP - then he prescribes something and then you are too scared to take it to see if it will actually help!!
So if anyone out there has taken ranitidine did it work? And what was it for? If you don't mind me asking.
Under a lot of stress as well atm. House move to another country...
Thanks!

Hi thanks Magic. Do you get pain in your back with the reflux issue? And constant burping/nausea and throat pain? Sorry to ask.. it's just I am now convincing myself something more wrong. Always had problems like this but it's so constant now and so painful. Plus Ive lost a load of weight over 6 months.. I might try them. But convinced I have throat cancer or pancreatic cancer..
