Wisdom teeth removal + general anaesthetic
Help, I have GAD and depression with panic attacks and i was improving until last month and things seem to be slipping again. General anxiety is worse and i'm really tired and down.
I'm having my 4 wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthetic as a day case next Thursday and I am so nervous. I hate not being in control and I hate not knowing what to expect too.I'm glad i will be asleep for the procedure but it does really scare me aswell.
Has anyone else had this done or had day case general anaesthetic?
I'm so tired from everything and i'm not sleeping properly and i'm back to feeling sick and achy and tired and sad and anxious again. Arhhh
Re: Wisdom teeth removal + general anaesthetic
Ask the oral surgeon questions about what to expect, write them down. Also make sure to have someone with you to get you home. When you're home, sleep.
I had a wisdom tooth out in March and because the dentist ignored it and insisted it was 'Just' an abcess.
I had to have emergency surgery as the swelling in my lower jaw was impacting on my breathing. I spent 4 days in hospital.
You'll be fine, I owe my life to the Oral surgeon I had.
