Changing Lyrica to Neurontin

Hi,

My Doc is about to change Lyrica to Neurontin.

(Actually my concern is about the cost, Pregabalin is more expensive than Neurontin).

Has anyone tried Neurontin?
Does it work the same as Lyrica?

I'm afraid I've not taken either, but if it comes down to the cost v. health, I think I'd take the doc's recommendation any time. :)
