Started mirtazapine & gained weight ;-((((

Hi I was put on 15mg 6-7 weeks ago as ssri's don't seem to work for my depressive episodes. It seems to have slightly lifted my mood but I hwve gained 5 pounds and my waist two inches. None of my clothes fit. The doctor did say it can cause weight gain but I've been on a healthy eating regime with exercise to get rid of my post pregnancy gain so surely I shouldn't hain weight!!!?????

It's made me more depressed I don't want to take my baby swimming I've cancelled a works outing it's really affecting me ;-((((

I'm going to try getting in to see my gp today but I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? Did it stop if you stopped the tablets? Or changed them?
