skipped beats from anxiety
I'm taking medication and still occasionally suffer skipped beats when i'm nervous or feeling anxious. I would think the medication would take the anxiety away, but it has only lessened it a bit. Does anyone here take medication and still suffer from anxiety and missed beats?
My heart started skipping when the copy machine at work was working-- what a dumb thing to be anxious about!
Re: skipped beats from anxiety
Yes exactly the same. Been on propranolol and although lessened anxiety the palpitations still happened. These just happened anytime and could be either doing something or resting and so no reason as to why. I have had to stop taking them as having a six day holter fitted next week and you need to be clear of these meds. Just need to try and train our minds on this horrible anxiety. Have you had any tests. X

Yes, I've had an echocardiogram and a 30 day holter monitor. All normal.
Re: skipped beats from anxiety
Yes! My anxiety has been good for a few months now. I'm on venlafaxine. Anyway, I went for a job interview on Wednesday and from Tuesday I've been having constant skipped beats. Though it's not actually skipped beats, just feels like it. I got the job starting next week and worry about coping so the anxiety has crept back but nowhere near as bad as before and the symptoms are not alarming, just annoying.
